Senator Edward Kennedy's Passing

09.08.09 (1 comments)

We are saddened to learn about the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy. On behalf of the Tug McGraw Foundation and the Neighbor's Keeper Fund, we extend our condolences to his family, friends, and supporters.

A dedicated public servant and a longtime champion of universal health care, Senator Kennedy was also a model of strength and courage during his year-long battle with brain cancer. In a recent Newsweek article, he said "... I am resolved to see to it this year that we create a system to ensure that someday, when there is a cure for the disease I now have, no American who needs it will be denied it."

In his memory, and on behalf of the many men, women, and children who bravely fight this devastating diagnosis, we remain committed to raising funds for research that will enhance quality of life for patients with brain tumors and their families.

You are so right to recognize the roll that Sen Kennedy played in the fight for health care for all. To have him be lost to brain cancer is a double tragedy.
When you come to Dallas in June why not let us do an event to raise $$ for Neighbor's Keeper Fund. Please contact me: we'll do all the grunt work, just need your help to draw volunteers and sponsors!
Thanks in advance....817-685-0920...Dorie Cranshaw
